This song is a love letter to my home town of North Fork, the exact center of California. The land and the people inspire me everyday, and I'm so grateful for the community support for my music. On the mandolin is my lifelong friend and fellow North Fork Man Orion Cicoletti.

Kai Asmund
Kai Asmund is a folk singer and songwriter based out of North Fork, CA. His songs are inspired by the themes of desire, labor, and justice that we all hold in common. Asmund is a community forward musician, hosting the monthly North Fork Songwriters Circle, and recording and promoting local musicians through his project Local Treasures. He also has been feautured on the Foothills Under 30 Podcast, for which he write and produced the intro theme song, and produces all outro music, including his own and that of other local musicians.

I'm very honored to be featured on the Foothills Under 30 podcast, produced by Yosemite Foothills! Not only am I the first guest, but I wrote and produced the opening theme song, and I will be producing my own music and that of other local artists to play at the end of each episode. So happy to be part of such a local and community oriented project!
